Our Mission, History,
and Services

PHC provides compassionate support to women, men, and families affected by an unplanned pregnancy.

We value and passionately affirm the gift of life.

  • 1991: Madison County Pregnancy Help Center was founded by Kathy Todd after God gave her a calling to “save the children.”
  • 2015: Moved to the current location at 227 W. Irvine Street and began the Earn While You Learn parenting program.
  • 2016: Established the Step Up parenting program and expanded to open a medical clinic providing pregnancy testing and limited obstetric ultrasounds
  • 2023: Launched the THRIVE program to teach sexual risk avoidance in local schools
  • 2024: Opened a satellite women’s clinic in Berea
  • PREGNANCY SERVICES: Pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, 24-hour helpline, and information on parenting, adoption, and abortion. (PHC is a life-affirming ministry and does not refer for abortions.)
  • SUPPORT SERVICES: Our trained staff and volunteers are available to discuss any physical, emotional, or spiritual concerns.
  • PARENTING CLASSES: PHC provides education through pregnancy and parenting classes, including Earn While You Learn, Fatherhood Mentoring and the Step Up program.
  • COMMUNITY RESOURCES: Our staff is able to refer clients to other community service providers when needed.
